About Us
KIRINARI Community Services Ltd is a not-for-profit charitable organisation managed by a Board of Governance that is appointed annually by the members of KIRINARI. Funding of the service is provided by the Victorian Department of Human Services, and the NSW Department of Ageing, Disability and Home Care . KIRINARI provides support services in Victoria and New South Wales.

KIRINARI staff are people who are experienced and specially trained to provide a quality service to people. The welfare, privacy, dignity and freedom of choice for people are very important to KIRINARI's professional staff.

History
Commencing in 1988 as KIRINARI Residential Training Services Inc in Albury/Wodonga and was funded by the Commonwealth government. In 1993 funding was transferred to the Victorian Department of Human Services. Since 1997 KIRINARI has expanded into NSW to meet the challenges provided by Dept. of Ageing, Disability and Home Care.

In 1997 KIRINARI gained accreditation by The Council on Quality and Leadership which provided an opportunity for KIRINARI to develop into new areas of service firstly in Northern NSW in 1999 and then the Blue Mountains in 2000, whilst at the same time expanding into the western Riverina.

In 1997 Kirinari purchased Border Home Support and built the business into KIRINARI Home Care which has expanded from Albury/Wodonga across North East Victoria and the Murray Riverina area of NSW.

Additional services in Victoria were commenced in Tallangatta (later transferred to Wodonga) and Wangaratta in 2000.

Future Goals
In 2006 KIRINARI completed its strategic plan and commenced a new plan that will provide a number of new strategic principles that will take the organisation through to 2009. Return to this page later for more details of the 2006 - 2009 Plan.



Become a member of KIRINARI
KIRINARI has membership available to individuals, families, organisations, and sponsors. After an initial membership fee the annual fee is $10 per year.
